Room Reset
Privacy
Room Reset keeps your room library on your iPhone. It sends photos for AI analysis only after you give permission and tap Analyze space.
Room photos and AI guidance
Room photos, saved room names, cleanup progress, and maintenance history are stored locally on your iPhone. When you ask for analysis, Room Reset sends smaller photo copies, task progress needed for the next response, and progress or final photos through a Koff Works relay to OpenAI. Saved room names and detailed room-by-room maintenance history stay on the device; the content-free activity signals described below are sent to Firebase.
What is retained
Koff Works does not persist room photos and disables relay payload logging. To make retries safe, the relay may retain a completed guidance response for up to 24 hours and replay it for the same verified request. OpenAI API data is not used to train OpenAI models unless Koff Works opts in. OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring data for up to 30 days by default; images flagged for child-safety review may be retained longer for manual review and legally required reporting.
Purchases and admission records
Apple processes Reset Pass purchases. Koff Works sends an opaque signed transaction to Apple for verification and stores only hashes of the purchase, App Attest installation key, and reset identifiers needed to prevent reuse. These records are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Analytics and diagnostics
Room Reset uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand whether people open the app, complete resets, save their tiny system, return for daily or weekly maintenance, see the Reset Pass paywall, and buy a pass. The app sends six custom events: first reset completed; reset completed; system saved; maintenance completed, marked daily or weekly; paywall shown, marked new space or rescan; and purchase completed with a USD 3.99 value. These events include the app build number. Reset completion is recorded after a successful final comparison, system saving after Keep saves the system, and maintenance completion after a new Done action is saved. Skip and Not now do not count as maintenance completion. Firebase also collects standard app lifecycle events, an app-instance identifier, general location derived from a masked IP address, and StoreKit purchase metadata. Room photos, saved room names, cleanup plans, maintenance instructions, detailed room-by-room history, and app-supplied room, user, or session identifiers are not sent to Firebase. We do not use the advertising identifier, personalized advertising, or cross-app tracking.
Apple provides automatic crash reports. The relay host may process ordinary operational information, such as request timing and error status, to keep the service available; relay payload logging is disabled.
Deletion
Ending a reset removes its local photos and progress. Removing a saved room removes its local system and history; deleting the app removes its remaining app-container data. An opaque App Attest key identifier may remain in Keychain, but Apple invalidates its underlying key when the app is reinstalled; Room Reset replaces that unusable identifier with a newly attested installation key. Completed server guidance is removed within 24 hours, unused admissions after two days, free-admission hashes after 180 days, paid-admission hashes after two years, and inactive App Attest registration state after 180 days. These server records are retained only to make retries safe and enforce one free reset per verified app installation and one use per Reset Pass.
